Legs can also be made from aluminium or stainless steel. These materials have one thing in common: they will not rust.
Aluminium is often used in commercial-grade outdoor furniture and it is generally painted.
Stainless steel is usually used in a variety of indoor and outdoor applications and is usually brushed or polished to a bright silver. There are various grades of stainless steel and for true protection from rust, at least a 316 grade is required. This is classed as marine grade and will last outdoors for many years.
Stainless steel is also commonly found in high-end kitchens and interiors, being about 3 - 4x more expensive than other materials.
What metal leg coatings do you offer?
All legs are available in a powder coat finish. This process involves applying powder to the metal which is statically charged and then baked in an oven. The result is an incredibly durable finish.
For an industrial feel, we offer a satin clear coat. This looks almost identical to raw steel but will keep the rust away well past our 5-year guarantee.
We also offer black, white and a range of colours. Custom colours are also available on request.
